Do you want to become a better game designer?
Join Game Hub Denmark’s game design course, free of charge
In collaboration with Dania, we offer you the chance to learn the intricate details of game design. Whether or not you have experience within the field does not matter, since we will be covering a myriad of aspects for inspiration when you begin developing your next unique game.
This is your chance to upgrade your skills and have fun during the process. We operate from a workshop-format which is loose with emphasis on learning through practical skills and fun.
What will I learn?
Our goal is to inspire and create interest rather than give you homework, so you shouldn’t worry about the course eating up your spare time. We want to have serious fun and become smarter on the way :) Here is an overview of the subjects that we will cover:
Flow/Loops and mechanics
How to pick the best idea
Game design pillars
Different types of design docs
Prototypes
Testing
Level and puzzle design
Progression and skill systems
Designing with- and through- programmers, artists and sound crew
Practical
The course starts end-February or start-March. Final start date will be announced soon.
Our workshops will take place every other Wednesday, during the period 15-18. We expect all teaching to take place physically in the Game Hub Denmark building in Grenaa.
We have twelve vacancies on the team and you can apply for one of them.
How do I apply?
To apply, please shoot us an email to Allan Kirkeby at alki@gamehubdenmark.com.
Write us a motivated application of maximum one page, stating why you want to join.
After we receive all applications we will find our participants.
What should I put in my application?
Clear motivation and drive
Your reason for attending
We are looking for people who want to join in on the fun and spend their afternoons with us playing, discussing and obviously making games and systems, so if you can make that shine through in your application, it will help our evaluation process.
